    Re: Oulton Park BTCC 2019

Thanks for the offer Toby, unfortunately I'm busy this weekend. Thanks for remembering, another time hopefully.

Makes them even more impressive then, it looks like you've managed to get to spots I can't get to with a Pit lane pass! (Having to be in the pits for the end of each session severely limits my exploring).

Surely that first one had to be taken from the back of the grid, it's the only way I've managed anything similar.

FWIW I think #10 is my favourite, but it's a close run thing.

Thanks. First one is from Deer Leep looking up towards Lodge Corner and was taken from the outside through the fencing.

Not sure which one's you couldn't get access to as they're all from normal spectator positions.

2,3,7 and 11 were all taken from the inside of Druids as they're exiting the corner.

4 is from outside Knickerbrook looking up the Hill

5 is the approach to Knickerbrook from the outside.

6 is from Lodge Corner through the fence looking back down the straight towards Warwick Bridge and Druids

        8. Knickerbrook again, slightly further down.

9 & 10 are the pit straight from the outside

12 is on the inside of Druids on the approach to the corner

13 is Knickerbrook again but from down he hill a bit, again on the outside.

        Hope that helps

          It does indeed
Most of the normal spectator spots on the outside of the circuit are too far from where I have to work. I have managed the outside of the start finish straight when I knew in advance I wasn't testing one session. I guess the outside of Deer Leap might be achievable under similar circumstances.

So 4,5,8 & 13 are definitely to far off for me, 1 & 6 are perhaps borderline, and the remainder I have managed t least for a short while.

The inside of Deer leap is one of the spots I get to most often when at Oulton. I have managed the Inside of Druids too, a great spot for panning IMO. The one other spot I've managed in the last 10 years, is the inside of Denton's down to Cascades (which gives an inferior view of the chicane too) About 15-20 years ago I didn't have to deal with the support races so had MUCH more time for getting to interesting spots...

I think I've reached my limit, just about got away with this at 1/8 I think.

man alive, I tried some panning shots at the weekend on a demo run during one of our breaks, alright I geant you it was an F1 car going at a bit of a lick but what a waste of time that was, only had my 12-40 pro lens, its bloody hard to get a good shot at any shutter speed I think I will stick to pit pictures

Great set. Number 10 is the pick of the bunch for me. Very good panning technique.
