  • I wish it could be Christmas every day

Been taking a few candidates for next year's Christmas card.

I can add a few more but feel free to post yours too. Seen a few already elsewhere but post some new ones too.

    Happy Christmas everyone.

Very VERY impressive Peter, you have an exceptional eye for composition and light - both of which are key ingredients that go a long way to making a brilliant image. This is one such image, quite spectacular how you had the nouse to spot this... kudos.

        Any chance of the EXIF?

Thank you Chris, it was -4 degrees and there was about half and inch of frost in places.

Crikey, even at 12mm focal length and @f5 the depth of field is wonderfully short. How did you manage to get the background so out of focus with those settings. Excellent image Peter, really exceptional in my opinion.

I'm not a photographer really. I trained as an artist and I look for paintable subjects and good light. After that I try a few things and show one or two that work. This is the first time I have ever shown in public and it is really nice for me that people like the world I see. I wanted the background to blur and tried with the aperture and the angle. Also the 12-60 is my favourite lens at the minute. Beyond that it is luck and photoshop to remove a few stray marks.

                  Try this one!

I loved the bramble and the soft, lovely light.

                  Peter

PS your love for people shows in your work. With me it is nature.
