    Following a nice walk...

    Song or Mistle?

    Sedge?

    Canikon or Sony?

And the best photo of my day....

    I didn’t get where I am today....

    2. Hard to tell, some sort of warbler
    3. Canon, no expert on the lens colour.......

Who was lying on the floor is the question......................

Are you sure it's a Warbler?
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

        1. Mistle (onky by the size) - that's the conclusion I'd come to, but I couldn't get very close...
        2. Hard to tell, some sort of warbler - Same again, it's a warbler given its surroundings and behaviour I think most likely a Sedge, but it's not quite the same as the ones local to me, so I think it could be something else.....
        3. Canon, no expert on the lens colour....... - it says Sony on the side of the lens!
        4. Redwing - I was just pleased with the photo!

Who was lying on the floor is the question...................... - No idea, I was sitting on a park bench behind her, getting the same angle as she was on a rise in the ground, there was a ha-ha ditch between me and her as well, so I couldn't ask!
        I didn’t get where I am today....

Not a sedge warbler .... unless you took it in Africa! They won't be back until it gets a bit warmer.

Willow Warbler then ...............(Guess work from the Wildlife book)

Maybe it stayed here over winter?

Having looked again at my book, could it be a Cetti's Warbler, though this was taken near Warwick?

                      Willow Warblers also migrate.

A few Chiffchaffs stay here over winter, but most sensible ones head south.

I referred it to my expert birding friend (ex ringer and birder for over 60 years) and it is a .................................................. ...... wren.

                          Oh!

Convinced myself it wasn't but I'm new to this and am still working my way through the I-spy book of birds! (Really - I got it as a birthday present a couple of years ago!) having being told and re-checked I can see that it is now....

                          Thank you for the ID!

Eurasian Wren since scientists split Winter Wren into three species.

You chopped the boots off in #3! Otherwise quite a good candid portrait. As for "Bird ID", not a clue who she is.

Is that a flashgun on top of the camera? I don't know how far it is to the stag but a flashgun seems a bit superfluous.

                              Nice shot of the Redwing.
