I grabbed a couple of shots recently whilst being told off for making the boss standing the cold.
Before I go back with a tripod and do them properly a quick opinion ...

Drove past there today, Heathers going on Wednesday with her school as a treat, and we're all going on 21st. Went last year and was a great day out, so very much looking forward to another visit this year.
I think I might be tempted to apply some perspective correction though, as it looks as if the city hall is about to fall over.

At the moment the two elements in this image are too far apart, which leaves a 'hole' in the middle - which you don't want. A different angle would have solved this but you could always 'reposition' City Hall using Photoshop (and correct the verticals as has been said already).
