  • My Resident Robin

He is very friendly and would sell his soul for a dried mealworm, and in the last image at 300mm he was nearly to close to focus on and hence the narrow DOF.

Taken with the E-M5 and 75-300mm wide open processed in CO8.

    ISO 250

    ISO 1600
    Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

    Cracking shots Paul.

How long did it take to get him used to taking the mealworms with you around?

Thank you Davy, that's down to the wife, she said I can get him to come close I just stood there with the camera while she enticed him, when he came that close in the last one it took me by surprise or I would have stopped down for more dof..if he comes that close I'll be using the 75mm f1.8 next time.

I have little interest in birds of the feathered variety, but these shots are exquisite. And we know the special magic of your PPing, which i find informative and helpful.

Thank you Chevvy, most of my wildlife photography is done in the garden these days as I find it hard to walk more than a hundred yards unaided, so i am thankful to have a nice garden that attracts birds.

                    Re: My Resident Robin

Thank you Steve. as some of the older members may know including Chevvy I had this problem over a year ago when they gave me 2 to 6 months to live but I beat it into remission in July but now its back again and I'm fighting the good fight once again. Please do not feel sorry for me because I don't.

Thank you Chevvy and I have a lot of wonderful assistants (family) who will be taking me out when the weather improves so I can do what I love best (photography) and yes the the Grandkids are just fine and still a source of enjoyment for me and photographic opportunities.
                    Regards Paul.
