  • Saturday shots

I was out today with the EM1 and the Pany 100-300, overcast with occasional rain showers but still managed to grab some images I am happy with.

Great shots of the birds and the lady on the phone (was that a phone box?) but my favourite is all those cobwebs.

Ian there is a lovely sparkling quality about all of them but I agree with John about a favourite.

        Re: Saturday shots

The bird shots are amazing - lovely and sharp.

Personally I'm not sure about the phone box shot (sorry), just something about it that doesn't work for me

But the cobwed shot is a fantastic spot. I probably would gave just walked past it. This is why sharing pictures like this great - shows people how to see great pictures in places where they wouldn't expect to.

Wonderful shots, as always, Ian. Of course I like the birds but the phone shot and the cobwebs do it for me.

              Re: Saturday shots

Thank you all for the feedback, very much appreciated.

One of the great things about photography is being able to take photos that works for some and not for others, this promotes thought and I love looking at images that I am not sure about and reading comments from others as often it encourages me to go back and look again - it's all about studying the photo.

I must add that it was great to pick up the EM1/100-300 combo as I have not used it for a while.

                    Nice!
Yes, that's a great, crisp combination as long as it's well supported when at the long end.

                      Re: Saturday shots

Phone box shot for me with the window a close second. With everyone having mobiles these days someone using a phone box must be a rarity.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

                          Re: Saturday shots

I quite like the phone shot because it has an air of intrigue about it, lovely crisp set.

                            Thanks all for the feedback,

I think my favourite shot is the Robin in full song, it was in the middle of communicating with another so quite happy for me to get close enough (even at the long end of the 100-300) to get the shot it is also the first time I have managed to grab one with beak fully open.

All my images are handheld and unless I am planning on landscape only when I would use a tripod, I stick with handheld and the EM1 5 axis does its job well.
