    Re: Tiny Mushroom Macro Fun

The last shot is a Lichen species fruiting body as a couple of people have posted.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

Great light and colour. The third shot reminds me of golf tee's.

Ever wondered what happens the dark when the light is switched on?

Lovely shots Alan, plenty of detail and lovely colour. The first one might benefit from a slightly different crop so the fungi was less central, but that is being very picky.
I have dozens of shots with wayward twigs and leaves that definitely 'weren't present' when I took the shot - I still haven't learnt!
I look forward to more examples

I shoot as found first and then 'garden' to clean up giving editors a choice.

Thanks! The only post processing was in Lightroom...just Highlights/Shadow tweaks and a touch of sharpening, then a soft vignette to focus the eye in a bit. Nothing fancy!

I can only echo what others have already said. Lovely crisp shots. Number two for me I think, I feel I can virtually reach out and touch the moss.

I've got shots of the crimson capped ones which have a very similar size and shape

                  Very nice shots.

Be careful, looking for fungi when there's not much else about can be addictive and time consuming.

It's amazing what is in your local area if you take the trouble to look for it though.

Stick with mushrooms. Slime Moulds: now, that's true addition.
