Well worth the effort both stunning images and subject. Just lovely. Even the "shed" is amazing.

                Re: Old girl

Thanks guys. The old boy who owns these (and a couple of others) is a blacksmith who actually makes the parts he needs for these old motors. Lovely chap. He's invited me back to take pics of his others (a Rover 12 and a 1949 Triumph Roadster) which I'm looking forward too.

Both pictures are High Dynamic Range images of 5 or 6 shots stacked in Photomatix 4.2. A technique I am currently fascinated with.

Off subject a moment: is it worth me buying an OM-D now? or waiting till the new model comes out?

                Regards

                Mike

                currently: E-600 + 14-42mm + 70-300mm.

                  Re: Old girl

Looks like you're having fun playing around with your images, the garage and cars look like they have a lot of development potential and a return visit will I'm sure reap rewards.

Regarding the OM-D EM-5 I'd be inclined to pass over in favour of the new model EM-1 where you can use your current nest of 4/3rd lenses plus have the benefit of all the new features on the new model.

                    Re: Old girl

                    Thanks Tom,

So the OM-D uses micro 4/3 lens (excuse my ignorance)? In which case I'll wait for the EM when it arrives.

                    Regards

                        Re: Old girl

I will be taking the pics above back to the old man who owns them shortly. Both cars are in his forge (he is a blacksmith/farrier). I'd like to take a few more of the forge itself and also the old overshot watermill which is across the yard.
Here's the outside of the mill, not a great shot by any means but the potential is there I think.
