today, to the Cliffs of Moher.
Acckkk & agghh. Thirteen large coaches in the parking area and more coming and going. A human millipede of snap & go's undulating over the entire run of cliffsedge. Light hard & flat.
I figure this view, or something close to it, was taken four or five thousand times today alone.

Dang. And running out of day, to boot. Soooo . . . quick look at map, find a really small road which legs off the small road which legs off a road distinguished with an actual alphanumeric title . . . .
. . . and fetch up on the backside of the Burren. Only had a few minutes to shoot before the necessity of hitting the homeward road:
The piece of the Moon which fell to Ireland:

. . . and a slightly different view of same.

A pony and a pair of horses - all unshod and in fine fettle, by the way - showed up out of nowhere. Incongruous but somehow fitting.

And another lovely and surrealistic Irish pasture. With this one image alone, my day complete.

Needless to say, I'm already scheming on some serious Burren time in the not too distant future.
