  • Shooting contest!

Sometimes, down the fields, we take turns shooting (with arrers) and the one who gets the target (or closest) chooses the next target, be it a thistle, log or sheep.
Here's an idea : Shooting contest for e-group cameras.

I'll start with an obvious MISS.

Now the idea here would be to post a BETTER photo of a squirrel. After a few attempts the winner will be judged by the current leader or by number of thanks or something equally obvious, passing the baton to that winner who gets to post a photo of another subject entirely.
And on we go! ... hopefully.

C'mon join in before everything gets all cold and snowy.

    Brilliant idea, Ulfric.

No squirrel shots from me - I'll have to go out specially to get one, but I know there are a few here who have got some good ones.......

Four great squirrel shots so far, but my vote has to go to David's red.

I would too have to vote for the red, but the one below!

I am sure David has some shots of reds leaping over some arras the day Ulfric visited

                    Re: Shooting contest!

I have in all honesty given up shooting squirrels, and until such a time as a catch a glimpse of a Red.

Saying that, they are great to capture when you have nothing else on a Sunday stroll.

This one actually chased me up a tree !! When I first got my DSLR

                          Time to choose a winner.
I'll throw my vote behind OlyPaul's one with the nibbling going on, I like the pose and the pinecones.
But who'se is the deserving 'best shot'?

My wife votes for KidsLateinLife, for the contrasting textures and non-postcardness.
