  • Still Fishing

Taken a week ago after 2-3 days of zero or below temperatures.
It is the only spell of cold we have had all winter (so far) but I wish we had had more as the light has been rubbish for months.
This pond was frozen apart from this edge which get any sun going and it is the Herons usual place as it's furthest away from me...lol
No fishing for the anglers and their boat is moored up in the reeds.

      Re: Still Fishing

Thanks Chevvy...I had to sneak along the road by the pond hiding below the winters hedge and slowly lean over it (ouch,it's hawthorn) and I got a quick pic before he saw me and skulked off around the bend.
Surprised it was as good as I have often tried getting his pic and it has not worked.
Looked at the exif and I think the 200 iso and 1/800 together with I.S. and leaning on the hedge did the trick....

I like it too Keith - it must be hard for the birds when things ice up.
No problem with that here today, 37 degrees and the bird bath water evaporates pretty quickly!
