  • Forth Bridges Panorama - Warning Wide Image

The sun was shining in Edinburgh today so I nipped up to South Queensferry to take this 15 shot portrait panorama. There's a problem at the right hand side of the rail bridge under the second from right cloud. Don't quite understand how come the cloud is stitched correctly but the bridge isn't. Any ideas how to fix this? I've tried the clone tool but the repetitive structure doesn't lend itself to this.

Jamie try stitching smaller groups together and then stitch all the groups together for your final panorama using the microsoft software. I had a similar problem with a 31 shot panorama and that was the only way I could get a decent finished effort.

      Greg,
I've just downloaded microsoft ICE and tried it but it doesn't recognise Olympus E-3 RAW files. Do you convert before doing anything?

I shot in raw and jpeg Jamie but only stitched the jpegs.

Could try stitching raw groups together in photoshop. Save the output as jpegs and then stitch the groups in ICE?

Jamie, I generally PP before stitching. I too use ICE and it works well.
I have about 4 panoramas from a recent holiday in Austria here's one of them.

            Nice picture.
I've tried a long one here too and had problems at one of the ends.

            You might have waited.
