December's CHALLENGE
The topic to inspire your creative juices this month is BOXES Please don't forget to vote on November's LEAVES challenge and please re-vote if you already did but before the recent forum upgrade.
I fully expected to see several of your photographs of the snowfalls throughout the UK on Easter Monday but so far have seen none. Here are a few of mine taken early that day.
I have just been looking at your snow scene photos. I think they are all very good. With mine I had expected to have problems with the white balance but left it on "auto" and was surprised at how well they turned out.

Did you adjust the "white balance" on yours ?

I shoot in Raw with my white balance set to 5400k as a mid point.I warmed these a bit probably up to about 5800k in Silkypix.
I have used auto W/B but still end up adjusting the temperature so now just set it to a midpoint.I find in sunlight I normally do not have to change it.
Auto seems to have worked very well for you in this case.
All the best

Thanks for the information about white balance. I am still unfamiliar with the white balance feature in digital cameras and have not really got to grips with it yet - preferring to rely upon the auto setting. But it is clear I must do so soon.

Just have a play its not as hard as it sounds. The great thing about shooting in Raw is you came always go back and do it again without degrading the original picture.
