  • Everything stops for tea ...

    1. ... well it did for a short while at Chartwell this week -

    2. We were blessed with a lovely day for our visit to Chartwell in Kent. It seems Barr1e was enjoying himself -

    3. A very proud family of geese - don't think I have ever seen such a large group before -

    4. A welcome change (of colour!) - one of a pair of black swans we saw on our visit -

All taken with the E-30, mostly 12-60mm, (70-300mm for geese).

    Regards,
    Ann1e

A few more pix from the day -

    5. A quiet spot where Sir Winston Churchill and his wife used to sit -

    6. This was a peaceful setting just by the lake -

    7. Another favourite haunt of Sir Winston's - overlooking the fish pond -

    8. A view of the magnificent house -

    9. A turkey - upfront and personal -

    Again, with E-30, 12-60mm and 70-300mm.

    Regards,
    Ann1e

A lovely set, Anne, but No 1 is particularly well spotted and an excellent composition.

I agree with John - a very nice set, but number one is excellent.

          By the way, I don't think that's a turkey - perhaps a Muscovy Duck?

Either way, some very nice images there!

I love the black swan photo, very good.
Number 1 is excellent but must've taken some thought to notice a picture and composition from a couple of wheelbarrows lying around. Well spotted!

Re: Everything stops for tea ...

Hello Steve, John, Peter and Ulfric (and Janet once again, of course) -

Back now for good from our trip to Kent to look after our granddaughter. We made a brief return home last weekend and just managed to apologise about the turkey faux pas!

We have visited our son and his family on many occasions since they moved south of the river but mostly on day trips so in the last fortnight we have been 'free' between 9.00 and 3.00 (school delivery and collection - I had forgotten what it was like to have to 'finish' your day at 3.00 )to explore the Kent countryside. It is a lovely county with many beautiful houses, estates and parks to visit.

                  Regards, Ann1e

Good set, looks like a lovely place to visit for shots - plenty of macro potential with those flowers and shrubs around. Is Barr1e sticking his ones up soon?

Love the Black Swan, used to have a pair near to us but they seem to have vanished this year.

Isn't it strange how in these immaculate gardens you dont see gardeners, we had the same on a recent visit to Chirk Castle.
