Yes I see what you mean Tim, but it's a useful reminder. Last time I took some airshow shots was at Duxford and they were rubbish. Even the Spitfires came out blurry. I was very disappointed wish I'd known about not using IS at the time.

            Re: Sunderland Airshow

Good shots, though as has been said some playing with the levels would be beneficial.

I'm hoping to do Fairford this year, its been a long time since I've been to one. Waddington was a staple when I was growing up

              Re: Sunderland Airshow

A timely reminder from Buddha01 on future events. This year, all being well, Plan A - I'm thinking of heading to East Fortune for their air show. Fall-back, Plan B - will be the Sunderland air show with perhaps another jolly down to the Mach Loop... travelling light this time with µ 4/3 gear late August/September.
It's not what inspires us that is important, it's where the journey takes us.

@ Wally: I can recommend you to come to the Netherlands for the 100 yrs anniversary airshow of the RNLAF on 14 an 15 of June this year. Although the line up till now isn't that spectacular, they try to get as many flying planes as possible that the RNLAF used in the last 100 yrs. We even hope they get the possible successor for the F-16 at the show ( Typhoon II, Gripen, Rafale, F-35?). Hopefully even some participants for the Le Bourget air show which takes place the following week. Let's keep our fingers crossed for this.
