Even with image stabilization i can get sharper pictures with 16mp than i can with 20mp hand holding, so i guess i dont want anymore.

I am quite happy with my OM-D E-M1, which I think is 16 MP, although I prefer using medium format film cameras.

At the end of the day the answer comes down to simple mathematics. How big do you want to print?

I think 16 or 20 is plenty, personally. How many lenses can resolve in excess of that? Pixel-chasing is pretty pointless for most general photography in my view. The article referenced in the OP doesn't make it clear whether this is a single camera or (I think more likely) an array of cameras that produce images that are then stitched together or otherwise processed very quickly, providing a much more detailed view of a wider area than could be done with a single camera.

How it's made or designed doesn't really matter. Providing it helps the Chinese Government keep track of, monitor and persecute even more of it's citizens, it will be deemed a great success.
