Why? What's happening to the forum?

Hopefully nothing Stephen as I like it the way it is. Facebook has it's place to contact friends I guess (you can probably tell I don't use it much) but I think this forum format is much better as a photographic resource.

I too am a reluctant FB user. Just have it to keep track of the kids (age 38 and 31!). Otherwise it's full of meaningless drivel. Including the kid's posts!

Do not use FB cannot see why I would want too. Long live the forum!

Horses for courses. I use FB and find it very useful in a very limited set of circumstances. What I get out of forums like this is very different, and just as useful in a different way. I don't see any reason not to carry on picking the best out of both (and any others that may come along).

I certainly hope not! The forum is a great place for finding information, as well as a great place to show your pictures. Also I may be wrong but don't facebook also claim any image rights to your pictures as soon as you post them? I haven't read the fine print recently but I seem to remember being told that this was the case.

I use facebook for keeping in touch with friends who I no longer get chance to see as much as I would like, but for photography the only place I go to is this forum.

                  Cheer,

                  Ralph.

What's Facebook? I have never used it … or Twitter. I don't intend to do so either. I am a Flickrphobe too.

I would choose a Forum over facebook group anyday. Only have Facebook to find out what the Mrs is doing / thinking.
