  • Monitor for 200?

I'm happy to say I'm finding a bit more time for my photography again, but only having my 14" laptop now is spoiling it somewhat. As we all know, a fair bit of time is spent in post, and that's something I really enjoy............. but not on a 14" laptop!

I was looking at all in one PC's, but they're still a bit on the pricey side, so I'm going to get an ultra small form factor PC and a decent monitor soon-ish..... the monitor is what I need a help with.

I'm thinking 24" - 27" around the £200-ish mark. IPS? Do I need this? Anyone got any recommendations or advice what to look out for?

I'm also open to any advice regarding the small form factor PC if anyone has experience of them. I've decided anything made by Apple is out, so no point in anyone attempting to lead me down that (horribly expensive!) garden path!

Go for a great big old CRT Sun thing for occasional use for ... a bad back and less than £50 ?

maybe you could upgrade the laptop graphics card and RAM chips - its cheap
I just did mine from 2 x 8 to 2 x 16 Gb and +4GB on the Graphics card ! its flying ... I already has slave screen cables ...

ps I have a few "desktop boxes/towers here," doing nothing ... if you wanted to buy a "Bare Bundle" and build your PC ... you can have a tower ?
