    flickr

    I've just updated my long unused flickr account and uploaded loads of images from the last 12 months ......which user groups should i use...is there an official Olympus group?

    Have a look at my Flickr site and see which groups I link to, for starters. There's a bewildering amount.

      Before joining any groups read the T&C's as for instance the official Olympus group for europe want the rights to your shots just about.

      Search for types of group like landscapes or B&W Olympus of 4/3 or m4/3 etc

        If you do a search on Olympus it will bring up a list of Olympus cameras and lenses.

          Thanks Guys, there are indeed a bewildering number of groups...good point Alf ref Ts & Cs

          I like the flickr page layout, its like standing back and seeing all of your albums open on all pages at the same time.

            Flickr is massive, I gave it away years ago.

                I like my zenfolio account but it is not free and not as "social" as flickr, depends what you want from it.

                I have sold a few prints from it and use it for ordering my own for convenience. I'm not keen on photo-bucket but the quality of one vision imaging their better photo lab, seems good.

                  I've already learnt that Zenfolio isn't designed to be a social photo sharing site. It appears to be more sales oriented and sophisticated than most.
                  I will let you know how get on and whether I continue after the free trial period.

                    It has already saved my bacon following a hard drive fail, luckily I had all my personal pics backed up on Zenfolio and was able to download them again.

                    That was worth the fee on its own!
