    No affiliation to this, I just googled it to see what it was as I thought you had typed it wrong. I'd never heard of the lens but it looks interesting.

        Is this likely to be better than the 45/1.8 in any meaningful way (aside from a small difference in FOV)?

          Depends on what the OP is looking for Paul, I for one love the way some of these older optics 'draw'. Flare and low contrast colour with a 'painterly quality' have been very much the order of the day in fashion editorials ( for example ) for a couple of years now, not that I am saying this is what you will get with the 38 F1.8 for I do not know its qualities but you can probably get where I am coming from.

          Mind you like you I would have the 45 in the bag too

            Exactly Simon. My Vivitar 35mm from the mid 70's has fringing and weird bokeh at times but there's something about the images that keeps me using it.
            It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

              Would that fit a Pen FT?

              In fact there are better deals with an FT included.
