  • WANTED Olympus E1 rubber grip replacements

    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had some spare replacement rubber for the E1 grip. The grip on mine has come off completely now.

Failing that, can anyone point me to a dealer that sells these items?

    Cheers,

    D

Not sure if this is still available, but you can check here:

IIRC, Olympus stopped production on E-1 parts some time ago, but that rubber grip is relatively easy to put back, just clean the residual glue and apply some good adhesive.

Luton have none, but these people do.......

      Search for E-1

In the end I trimmed mine perfectly with a craft knife and re-stuck it with araldite!
That was only two days ago so too early to say if it's permanent.

When the grip came off from my E510 I just stuck it back on with superglue and it's still holding!

            Thanks all,

The bigger problem is that the grip has expanded to the point that it no longer fits at all. Both at the lens end and the battery end, it has lost its shape completely. Must be my warm hands!

Careful trimming using a craft knife and steel rule for a straight edge will solve that. If it's badly coming away take the whole grip off and trim. Mine was only bad at one edge so I managed to trim on the camera.....

Preferably I want to have it looking as new, since I'd like to sell it on. I did try cutting it down, but it's so warped that it simply looks wrong once cut down to fit. Will give davinci a go, if I can decipher the german
