Yes all updated with no obvious problems.

LR loads so much faster, and exports very fast as well...........

Re: Has anyone completed Lightroom update?

I've had issues (and am continuing to have issues...). First, the upgrade won't work on Win 10 earlier than build 1511. To avoid carrying too much gear when I travel, i use my work laptop for image editing away from the house. My company's IT department are still running an older W10 build so I can't even install it. Not just "we won't support you if you run it", but " we won't even let you install it ".

To solve this, I installed a dual boot on the machine and put a fresh copy of Win 10 on it. It installed fine and there are some things that work faster, but overall it's not a big improvement.

I also installed it on my main desktop at home. That runs Win 7 (which is supported - go figure). However, I'm finding two issues, neither of which happened with the previous build:

        - The use of graphics card acceleration is very unreliable. Sometimes it refuses to display images in develop mode (just a black screen) if I turn it on.

        - I use the Sys Internals " Desktops " utility to provide desktop switching on Win 7 (great little program!). If I run Lightroom in anything other than desktop 1, the computer crashes (bluescreens) when LR launches.

Well, here goes, as I run a Mac so hopefully OS version issues Paul has seen won't occur... (famous last words)

Should I install Lightroom classic AND Lightroom CC?

Re: Has anyone completed Lightroom update?

I went for LR Classic only and it works great on my iMac running High Sierra. It feels a little quicker and the new selection by colour range or luminosity works a treat.

Be aware that it does use a new catalogue structure and there is no going back unless you had taken a back up first.

Re: Has anyone completed Lightroom update?

                Yep - upgraded on W10.

No problem of any sort. Main improvement is general speed on "file handling" and especially on import during both copy and preview building. What actually happens now is the preview build starts in parallel to the copy process. However I suspect to get the real benefit of that you will need a reasonable spec PC.

Seems the bugfix is to stop the new Classic installer from removing LR 6 from those who don't subscribe:

Just what I found, Paul - I have CC all apps, but added LR +1TB to get the additional cloud storage which All apps subscribers do not have. That worked - but the LR Cloud was not available to me. After some digging, I found that my PC did not meet the system requirements. What? After a LOT more digging I found the Win 10 requirement. Hardly well-announced.

So how come you can get LR Cloud on Win 7? Pray share the secret!

Classic seems OK on the laptop, holding back on the big machine until I have sorted the Sept /Oct trip
