        FWIW I found that the graphics processor update back in v2.1 did make a significant difference. I only have an old nVidia Geforce GT620

        These are the changes complete with the ever informative "fix a bug" and "Bugs have been fixed" comments

        OLYMPUS Viewer 3 - Ver. 2.1.2
        * Improved image quality of RAW Development.

        OLYMPUS Viewer 3 - Ver. 2.1.1
        * Fix a bug.

        OLYMPUS Viewer 3 - Ver. 2.1
        * Now compatible with E-M1 Mark II.
        * Faster RAW development using a graphics processor is now possible.

        (To utilize GPU acceleration, the GPU must have 2 GB or greater video memory.)
        * Supports Monochrome Profile Control and Color Profile Control for TruePic VIII.
        * Selection box can be hidden from Light Box screen.
        * Bugs have been fixed.

          Re: OV3 Update

          I'm running a Windows core i7 @ 3.07GHz with 12Gb RAM. OV3 is so s....l....o....w it is unusable for me. I can't say that I like the UI either.

            Re: OV3 Update

            These days programmes seem so slow, that had they been running on our University machines back in the olden days I'd expect them to take a week to process one RAW.
            It is as if optimisation and low-level coding for speed has gone right out the window!
            Grr.

            Michael Niedermayer (some arcane codec developer) has a great quote that sums up the current situation ;
            "
            Old school: Use the lowest level language in which you can solve the problem
            conveniently.
            New school: Use the highest level language in which the latest supercomputer
            can solve the problem without the user falling asleep waiting."

                My Olympus viewer 3 is still on firmware 1.1 although I have updated it several times and the wheel goes round for the update it doesn't seem to want to go to 2.1.
                Kind regards Mike

                  I suggest you uninstall it and download and install the latest version from here.

                  This probably explains why you cannot get it to work with your E-M1 MKII files which will require the latest version.

                  Regards.

                      Re: OV3 Update

                      I've always been able to update OV3 but the latest 2.1.3 fails. It's not an important update to me so I'm not too worried at this point & may try more drastic measures later on if I need to. Too much work & wotnot happening right now.

                        Hi Paul, yes indeed, i had to put the original viewer in the trash it was version 1.1 and would not accept an update. With well over 1500 shots taken with the em1mk2 whilst on test and wow. I have downloaded a fresh new version. At the time of this reply its exporting from viewer all my raw images to my documents section at one file every 30secs yes that's right 30secs per file. But its getting there! I have grown a beard waiting
                        Kind regards mike
