  • Microsoft ICE

Anyone else tried this very simple to use and quick pano software.
I know a lot of members do not seem to like Microsoft or what it represents but I was quite pleased with this and it free.

    Worth a try.
    All the best

Yes, I ran a few images through it and it worked. Simple as that. It worked. Seemed to match images as well as my favourite, Autopano Pro.

      Hi Andy,
I discovered ICE about aweek ago and put post on FTU but nobody seemed interested. Like you ,not a great fan of Uncle Bill's company but I have to admit that this one is a cracker.

        Re: Microsoft ICE

Andy - thanks! I've never done a panorama and was just thinking about it - spotting this thread was a happy coincidence!

I've just this minute downloaded 64-bit ICE from Microsoft and was amused on installing when Vista informed me that it was from 'an unknown publisher' and queried whether I should trust it LOL

              Re: Microsoft ICE

I had a play now and I quite like it

There are a couple of "features"

              1. No help - but there is a decent and active forum that includes a post of the motion type options on the screen http://community.research.microsoft....ms/t/2002.aspx

              2. I had a couple of Failed to create messages from images that my old copy of panorama plus had no issues with - there is a new version out very soon that claims to have improvements in this http://community.research.microsoft....ms/t/2027.aspx

Overall quite reasonable, but not enough to drop out my old software just yet

              Regards
