  • Free RAW software

    http://www.hasselblad.com/promotions/phocus-25.aspx

I spotted this on another forum. The latest version for Mac is Phocus 2.5 by Hasselblad. It has support for 3rd party RAW files including Olympus and
it's free. All you have to do is register, and you don't need a Hasselblad.

    Re: Free RAW software

    Thanks for the tip.
Unfortunately no support for E-5 RAW yet.
Guess we'll have to wait for Cupertino for that.

    Maybe in 10.6.6 this week?

    (Keeping my fingers crossed)

      Re: Free RAW software

If you need a free one for a Mac try Raw Photo Processor as it supports the E5, as I have tied it myself.

      Cheers Sid.

No, that is not the point, but thanks anyhow.

My workflow is severely disrupted as Aperture has no E-5 support yet.
In the mean time I am using a combination of DC-Raw and CaptureOne which is workable, but not as smooth as I want.

I was hoping Phocus would be a better interim-solution, but apparently they are using the Apple RAW engine.
