Couple of shots on Velvia 50

Although I love my Olympus SLRs, my most used camera by a long way is a Hasselblad H1 which I acquired last April. I do have a digital back for the H1 (a Phase One P25) but I mostly use it with film, and especially Velvia 50.

A couple of shots taken in the last month with the H1, 50mm and Velvia 50.

Indeed there are - a dozen I think, variants of the 500EL/M (motordriven bodies). The H1 is certainly not as pretty as a V System Hasselblad, but I find it more practical to use.

Lovely line up, Roger. But if I had to choose one it would have to be the 500 series, a true classic from Hassy, the King of cameras.

Velvia does the camera proud!

Thanks - and yes I do process E6 myself. Been doing it for about 5 years now. I have a Jobo processor which helps, although I have done it in the kitchen sink before.

I blame you for getting me hooked on Velvia, John. You supplied some Velvia 50 with the Kowa that I bought from you and I'm still addicted!

The 500 series is definitely more pretty, and for using on a tripod it's hard to beat. The great thing about the H1, though, is that it's also great to use hand held with modern gizmos like autofocus and auto exposure so you can use it like a big point and shoot when necessary.

Yes, Jobo kit is very good. I have a Jobo CPE-2 kit with heated and motorised tank and various drums which was so easy to use. I also have an LPL7700 Dichroic colour enlarger. Not used them for years, must dust them off and see what they are worth.

No indeed, I love it. And no, not so good for portraits - but for me that's what B&W film is for anyway.

Thanks for your thoughts. T'would be nice to sell them, even nicer to someone local,ish.
