  • Some colour with Olympus XA

Just to show I don't only do B&W here are some shots taken recently with my little XA on el-cheapo Agfa Vista 200, aka Poundland film. There are rumours going around that Poundland is going to stop selling it, which is very sad. I've already cleared out the stock of the Bridgend store.

Of course, to people used to seeing digital images the lo-fi nature of Agfa Vista might come as a bit of a shock, but I really like it and I'll be very sad to see it go if the rumours are true. Or at least I'll be sad to pay the price of Fuji Superia which is what AV is supposed to be in re-badged form.

All shots home developed in a Tetenal C41 kit using a Jobe CPE2.

Very nice. The colours remind me of the old Agfa CT18 slide film.

Thanks John. Can't say I remember that film.

John, CT 21 had a similar muted colour palette. Prior to the introduction of Kodachrome 200 it was my high speed film of choice for nature at dusk and dawn.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

My dad used Agfa CT18. I preferred self-developed Ferraniacolor.
