  • 40-150 f/5.6 Don't underestimate it

    I know it's sometimes referred to as a 'plastic fantastic' but the compact and very lightweight 40-150 is a brilliant travel lens. I have no complaints about this shot taken at full aperture (f/5.6) on Tresco, Scilly Isles:

    Didn't know Tesco sold squirrels ..... Oh ... er .... Oooops

    Nice shot, and a very accommodating squirrel.

      I've got the 40-150. I don't think I've used it forgetting on for over 10 years. Maybe I should get it out again!

          One from mine wide open at full stretch (which has appeared in many similar threads over the years):



          I've no complaints about that. I think the problem is that quality varies from sample to sample, and some people here have found it less good.
