BTW I wish there were an adapter sony e-mount to MFT as their 70-350mm zoom is about half the weight of Panasonic 100-400mm! I may be buying one of those for my Sony QX1 and I gonna do a last man standing duel between them soon on my own wb log. http://angelica.x10host.com/wordpress/

The problem is that the flange distance is even shorter than Micro Four Thirds so you can't focus to infinity on a MFT body without some fiendish trickery

I really like the m.Zuiko 75-300 for portability even though some think it's too soft at the long end. Olympus could do themselves a favour and improve the design to answer those concerns.

Ian having looked very closely at the copies of the Panny 100-400 I bought I think I have a pretty good idea what goes wrong with it but I wont pollute your hire thread with more comments. If anyone wants to continue the discussion feel free to start a new thread.

It looks like there is a clear interest in the Oly 300, 7-14 and the Panny 100-400. I'm quite surprised the fisheye is up there too.

I have voted for the 300mm F/4 as it may be of interest if I ever get to go on a "once in a lifetime" trip (safari, fjords, whale watching etc) but I would really prefer the long zooms in the 150-400mm range.

I've had very agreeable results with the 75-300 @300mm I think for the price it's fine.

Must admit, I've had some cracking shots from my 75-300ii. Some have been shown on here. Maybe I have a good one, it certainly can't be me

I'd still love it of Oly brought out a 100-400, though, it would go perfectly with my 12-100.

I'm interested in the wide side of things. Not sure whether I would ever BUY, (made that mistake with the Nikon, I have a lovely f2.8 that I have used less than 5 times in 5 years) but I would rent one when I was going somewhere that would benefit from that style of photo
