  • Great hire service!

I'm new to the forum and just want to say that I'm very impressed and so happy to have found the hire service. I've currently got the 15-54 mkII on hire and hope to hire some of the really nice expensive lenses at some point in the future.

Will you be considering hiring the new Panasonic 25mm f1.4? It's a lens I can see myself needed from time to time but without the spare funds to purchase it!

Hi Bradley, and welcome. Glad you like the hire service.

Our prices and the nature of the market for the service means we are dependent on Olympus providing the gear (and the servicing of this gear) free of charge. It was their initiative in the first place. I don't know if Panasonic would agree to provide us with the same advantage, but I can but ask...

That's interesting to know! Would be great if you could get a similar deal going with Panasonic.

                Re: Great hire service!

Hi Ian, I've been asked to photograph an event in September that I could really use a 35-100. Is there a page you can direct me to that shows what lenses you have, and the charges? Thanks
                Terry

                    Re: Great hire service!

There may be a smaller number of lenses in the Oly range than in the Canikon but they cover just about every need at every price point. If you want the top pro go for the 14-35, 35-100 and either 90-250 or 300. Mid point users will find the 12-60 or 14-54 and 50-200 plus EC14 will cover most needs. Those on a tighter budget won't be disappointed with the 14-42/45, 40-150 and 70-300. There are secondhand Sigmas going to 400 or 500 as well, not to mention a choice of four close up lenses. I don't use the wider angles but there's no shortage of choice there either.
