E450 Setup

So, I used to have Olympus OM stuff, years ago, but I've been away from photography for a while.

I have now got the E450 with the twin lens kit.

I have been pleased with it, so far, but I must admit I havent strayed far from the Program or the Auto modes yet.

Anybody got some tips for a relative beginner?
Perhaps somebody could help with the basic setup of the E450?
There's so much stuff in the menu, it is a bit confusing!

I don't know much about the 4** series but this may help, I'm guessing the 420 is similar to the 450
