That sounds like a useful improvement - is that shooting raw or is there no difference?

      RAW+JPEG, LSF+RAW

The memory card stalling was the main limiting factor.

Ian I shall look forward to seeing this as I do want another high IQ as backup to the E-5 but I fear, I shall end up buying another E-5 !

Ian, Do you by any chance have E-5 Reviews in Comparison to *an*on - I was told there was one in October 2010 Digit Photography but I cann ot find anyone with a copy of that mag ? and no back issues available

It certainly sounds as though they've made improvements in that function. Probably as quick as the GH2 in practice, which in turn is almost as quick as the E-1!

Sounds very useable, in any case. Just need to try the new VF when it comes out

I just noticed SRS have E-PL3 in stock today (18-8-11). Tempting item, but still too expensive at present. I will wait and see how prices move, and what new owners make of it..

Ian, just out of curiosity, did you not find the camera a bit too small, especially with it having no grip?

No, but then that's me - I don't have a big problem with the absence of a grip. The smaller the camera, I feel, the smaller the need for a grip. The surface of the metal body is fairly grippy.

My ability to grip with my right hand is not particularly good, but when I tried the E-P3 with the optional large grip it felt made to measure for me, far more comfortable and effective than the grip on my E-PL1. As Ian says, it's a personal thing.
