  • Which Pen

My wife has a bridge camera, which is fine for outside shots, but useless for catching the kids indoors. By the time the camera has taken the shot, the kids have gone back to school!
I thought to get her one of the Pens, I have a 14-150mm Oly that I don't use which would do for it.
    But which one?
It needs to have a viewfinder, not just the screen, I am open to ideas.(It could replace my XZ1 so I could use it too )

    Re: Which Pen

I'd go for the Pen F or possibly the Pen FT, or even the more rare FV.

A full 72 frames before reloading, and the original Pen F had a proper shutter speed dial on the front, not like the digital version which is assigned for selecting arty-farty digital filters. Why on earth did they do that - the designers must be a playful bunch!

No, not a film camera, a modern Pen

I think that the only digital Pen with a viewfinder is the new Pen F.

You could get a viewfinder pen and add a digital viewfinder.

        I've got a E-P5 and recent added a VF-4 viewfinder.

Pen F if funds allow- wonderful `feel good` camera, a joy to use. I did own an EPL series camera with an add-on viewfinder which I also loved.

Now that the Panasonic GX9 has been "announced" a GX8 with a 14-140 may well be the answer...

I was thinking of posting a comment like that too Graham.

Or a nice GX7 - someone really close to ME has one he's willing to sell, complete with 3 original Panosonic batteries. Really nice, almost pristine condition.

The Pen F would be my suggestion if funds allow.

You can add a EVF to lots of the other Pen models (all except the new 9?).
I had the VF4 for my E-PL5 but seldom used it so I sold it on.

The EM10 is in my experience a better bet - sizewise it's pretty similar but the extra wheel controls and the builtin EVF are worth having. The Mkii used is a great price/performance point for me.
