  • Wired Remote Release.

    Hi to all,
Just a quick question exactly how do I get my Hahnel HROP 280 wired remote shutter release to work on my OMD EM 10 .?
I must be doing something wrong as it will not activate the camera when I plug it in and I'm unable to access my CD instruction manual as my laptop has died !

    All answers great fully recieved.

    Many thanks.

My view is this is one of those things that should 'just work'? Maybe the plug is not pushed in far enough?

      Re: Wired Remote Release.

      Hi,
yes that's what I thought.... works straight away on my Panasonic G3 and the Hahnel HROP 280 lists both Olympus & Panasonic compatability, with the correct plugs for each.
It can only fit into one port and its pushed in firmly....which makes me wonder if there is some setting in the OMD EM 10 that needs to be activated.

Hope I get some more responses to help me solve this mystery.

      Thanks for your input.

Have a look to see if USB Mode, the last item in the "D" list, is set to anything other than "AUTO".

          Hi,
Checked all that and it turns out the fault was a bent terminal in the connection plug which I've managed to fix with a pair of very tiny pliers....now working ok
