is there any way to keep the focus point locked in one place ,it seems to have a life of its own moving around the screen

I have the E-M10 Mkii and I've not had that problem?
You can manipulate the focus point on the touchscreen with the camera to your eye.
I've read people saying they find it moves with their nose
I'm right handed, left eye dominant and never had that issue but you can disable the function.
I guess the other candidate is you're in a focus mode that is trying to track movement C-AF tracking or whatever? -

Disable both the 4-way pad keys and the touchscreen. Also set a Fn key to reset the focus point to the central position after it has been moved for any reason.Comment

totally unsure on this ,the wife has been using it and saying the focus point is moving around ,I have now done a full reset in case its something I have done while fiddling aroundComment
