  • HELP: Pro Cap

I am trying to reshoot that frozen and tried that ProCap L But it's not working. What am I doing wrong?

Settings, Speed (640s) mode, ISO on Auto, AF on Small Cross. Lens, 12-40. If those BiF can get a bird sharp, why can't I get that dog sharp?

You seem to be focussed on the wall behind the dog, not the dog itself. Especially in the last shot. Try and get the focus on the dogs head between the eyes.

Change from Small Cross to single standard size focus point. Cameras love to focus on walls.

Are you sure you haven't slipped it into manual focus on the lens by mistake?

I get the feeling the Camera did not have time to re focus as the dog jumped +2 on the refocus speed might have helped but with the dog jumping towards the camera its a big ask.

I think a higher shutter speed and i found for birds flying towards me i needed to pick them up early, which you cant do in this situation.

                Rob.
Yes, with C-AF Sensitivity set to +2 the C-AF responds much more quickly.
Default setting of zero: delay before adjusting focus is 170ms.
Setting of +2: no delay before adjusting focus.
(There is still a small delay in all cases, but adding a further 170ms is most unhelpful in this case.)

                    Re: HELP: Pro Cap

I do not need to turn on any . Should I go for the 40-150 and stand further away?

Try that C-AF (tr). Small AF point, What's that +2? EV plus 2??

It's in AF mode. Just checked that EXIF.

And Mik, those are fantastic capture. So far, only stationary birds for me. Nothing flying.

Its in the cog A1 C-AF Sensitivity it goes from - 2 TO + 2

Plus make the camera focus faster .
