Re: Firmware 3.1 out
Thanks. All done (quickly took SD cards out, put in full battery & removed lens, just to minimise any issues).
There is one thing though, you will need to reassign the SD card recording order again (Mine is slot 1 photos, slot 2 video & Auto switching from one card to the next when full).

It is de rigeur nowadays for ver.X to be followed very quickly by ver.X.1. Customers are used as bug-testers.

Re: Firmware 3.1 out
Loaded v3.1 no problem.Went out in afternoon to local quarry was taking shots in S-AF mode when a sparrow hawk flew low across me about 20 yards away, was on low shutter speed and low ISO with single small square focus point, managed to lock on panning for 2 reasonable shots, seems like there is an improvement in S-AF or maybe just luck.Promptly deleted photos accidently on editing in camera, have repeated this mistake several times, keep forgetting to lock photos first.

Re: Firmware 3.1 out
Great news - I've been plagued by the EVF bug in 3.0 today. Turn the camera on and the image in the EVF is black with just status info like you have a lens cap on! It happened with the EVF set to high frame rate and EVF default style 3.
