December's CHALLENGE

I got a bit of flak for flagging non-Olympus deals the other day; so in case anyone is still wondering, this site focuses on Olympus and the needs of Olympus owners, but sometimes those needs can be satisfied by other brands in the Four Thirds and Micro Four Thirds families.
I noticed that Panasonic Lumix are offering some cut-prices at the moment. I haven't looked that hard at the deals, but if you would like to peruse them you can find them here:
Agreed - at that price I'd be tempted to try to back order - if I didn't already have the Olympus 17mm f1.8
I shot the 15 back-to-back with the 17/1.8 a while back. Pixel peeking reveals a very, very small advantage to the 15, but it's really very small (at least on the copies I had). Personally, I don't think the 15 is worth the extra cash, and in any case I prefer the FoV of the 17.
Useful, the 15mm was always tempting but too close to the 17mm to spend that much money on.
The aperture ring and MF switch sound like fun for a retro feel but the ring doesn't work on Olympus
