    Hasselblad announces the X1D: the first mirrorless medium format camera.

    It uses a Sony 50mp CMOS sensor and is in our familiar 4:3 format.

            Plus lenses. And I think although previous Hass lenses will fit it'll only work in crop mode (not sure about that).

            It's going to take a while for them to release enough lenses to make it really viable for landscape photography, which means it's currently only rationally usable for portrait and studio use it seems to me. Plus posing value, of course!

            Makes the A7Rii look like a right bargain, too, not forgetting the IBIS and the increasing lens choice...
