Anybody want a 4/3rds 70-300m (postage costs only)? Gone to a good home

I've got a good condition 4/3rds 70-300 Zukio lens with caps and a lens hood that I'll never use again (completely micro 4/3rds now).

Only looking to be covered for postage costs and the assurance that the recipient would use it rather than trying to sell on.

Any interest?

Wow. I'm sure my daughter would love to have this to use on her E420.

How would you like to receive the postage cost?

Re: Anybody want a 4/3rds 70-300m (postage costs only)?

This lens had it's first outing on my E420 so being used with your daughters E420 seems completely the right thing.

Consider it yours. PM me with delivery details and I'll sort from there (I'm working away from home for the rest of the week so may be the weekend before I can pack and send.

Going to a good home I think :-)

Re: Anybody want a 4/3rds 70-300m (postage costs only)?

This should restore everyone's faith in the Buying and Selling on this site. The lens arrived this morning packed really well and in perfect working order (much cleaner than if I'd owned it).
Quick example in the rain this morning on the E-M1.

I'll pass it on to my daughter when she gets back from a couple of weeks away but as I've never had this lens I'll have a play in the meantime.

Once again thanks Jon(skids).

It certainly looks like it works well then Andy. One bit of advice with this lens. Some users have come to grief with the motor drive failing after some time because they manually rotated the lens which puts a strain on the motor drive system. When taking the lens hood off always stop the lens from turning. This can be done by pressing against the lens cap while rotating & removing the lens hood or zooming out to hold the barrel. Doing this will ensure that the lens keeps on working happily without dying from accidental misuse.

I hope your daughter enjoys this lens. I got mine when I got the E520 & it also served me well on the E-M5 as well (being optimised for Live View) until I bought the M75-300 lens (but I still have it).

I too got this lens as part of the E-520 kit

These are on the E-M1

Hoegh Osaka on the Bramble Bank - range about 2 miles

Spinnaker Tower from Calshot - range about 4 miles

Keep wondering about the M4/3 - what do folk think? Worth the upgrade?

I use my 70-300 very rarely so for me a swap to mft would not be justified.

Also having tried the mft 75-300 II, I prefer having that little extra "heft" of the bigger lens at the 300mm end. The "macro" has come in handy a few times and to make life all the more interesting there is the AF/MF switch to catch you out when you forget to switch it back...
