Kooka m4/3 set of 3 auto extension tubes
Here is a review of the set of Extension tubes I use for macro work.
This is a set of auto extension tubes that are low priced and inmy experience work. http://srb-photographic.co.uk/micro-...set-7050-p.asp You get - 12mm, 20mm and 36mm Auto Extension Tube in the set. You can use each seperately or in combinations of up to all three. Though you cannot use them all at once on some Panasonic cameras. Here is all three tubes attached to my 40-150mm r lens along with a raynox ![]() with all three tubes and the raynox fitted to the 40-150 this is magnification at 145 mm ![]() Here is a shot with the set up above ![]() I will do some some shots with just the tubes.

Re: Kooka m4/3 set of 3 auto extension tubes
Thanks for that, Alf.
I'm planning to do more macro work as soon as I've got over a number of other photographic learning curves I'm currently ascending slowly (!), and getting a decent but not extortionate set of auto tubes is on the list. These look comfortingly mid-priced.

Re: Kooka m4/3 set of 3 auto extension tubes
Here are some more examples of shots taken with the 40-150 and these tubes.
Here are some shots taken with it using AF then rock technique though I would recomend using back button focus as one focus and release priority as once focus is near the rocking is easier and the lens will not try and refocus. All kit at 140mm a bit cropped ![]() Without the Raynox at 96mm Nice jumper ![]() With the Raynox at 102mm a very small fly ![]()

Re: Kooka m4/3 set of 3 auto extension tubes
Here is an update on these tubes to complete the picture.
This set of tubes started to play up on me (they are working again) with the viewfinder and rear screen going blank and the apperture information dissapearing on me. Having got no help at all from the supplier with the attitude that I had had them over a month I had a careful look at them. SRB Photographic were not at all helpful on this issue. They have metal mounts but the body is plastic and two screws had come loos on the 36mm tube. One of the screws would spin and not tighten I need to superglue this screw in place. This is my opinion is due to the weight of the Sigma 105 f2.8 and MMF3 hanging on the end of 47 mm of extension tubes. I think they will be fine with lens like the 40-150mm shown above or the 60 f2.8 but I would not recomend the for the 40-150 f2.8 or the Sigma 105 f2.8 as they are too heavy IMO. Kooka lis a metal set of these tubes but they are hard to find http://www.kooka-optics.com/products/show-376.html I have since had them working and foolishly used them briefly the other day with even more weight adding an Olympus EX-254 tube for 3.5X magnification about 5mm filled the frame. I took these ![]() ![]()
