  • Server software update - potential disruption, unfortunately!

Today we are planning to update our PHP system on the server. We think our PHP applications should work normally, with only some minor exceptions, but you never know until it's done!

Therefore, I can only apologise in advance if the update does cause problems and so inconveniences everyone here. We will of course work as fast as possible to correct any problems.

I will post any status news on Twitter:

    Fingers crossed!

The update has completed and the one application I suspected would be problematical is our gallery, which is running on a very old code base. Am working now to fix this. The gallery seems navigable but there are loads of warning messages.

Thanks for all your hard work. For myself, I'll just sleep on it & maybe when I wake you'll have it all sorted (hopefully).

Am making steady but slow progress - the 'deprecated' errors now mostly fixed. Lots of editing of php code - rather tedious!

I get the depreciation error at the top of the gallery pages.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

We are also updating some other programs so there may well be some bumps along the way but in the mean time any unusual behaviour on the site, could you please alert me to it?

                          Thanks,

                            That should have stopped now?
