    Celebrating Early - No We're NOT!

    We are not jumping the gun with this message as it is now 9th November in many parts, including Australasia and the Far East. Hi there fellow e-groupers and thanks for starting off the celebrations.

    So much has happened in the past year and no doubt you will want to put your own slant on events.

    Anne and I thought we would join in the fun of the celebration and we hope you enjoy our little contribution below:

      Oh wow! What can Julia and I say?!


      By the way, a big word must go to Mark Thackara from Olympus UK, without whom the e-group site would not be here!

      Plus Alicia and her colleagues for the design work, John (theMusicMan) for his constant encouragement, attention, and assistance, and David for his behind the scenes technical savvy.

      And thank you so much to you, Barr1e and Ann1e!

      And most of all, thank you to all the site visitors who make the site worth doing!

            Loved the video Barr1e and Ann1e, made me laugh.

            I would like to echo all the congratulations and thanks. Its the people that make sites like this work - so to everybody who has contributed, to a greater or lesser extent, I would like to give a very personal and heartfelt thanks.

            Ian and Julia, you deserve a special mention, not only have you set up an excellent site but under your guidance and watchful eye it has gone from strength to strength, maitaining its original brief. I have no idea how you have done it but it continues to be a helpful and supportive site where we can all feel comfortable enough to experiment, make suggestions and take risks in our photography without any possibility of ridicule, as I have seen on other sites, and even better than that expect to receive knowledgable, constructive critique and suggestions ensuring we all develop our skills and enjoy this hobby of ours.

            What can I say thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you..............

              Well it's now birthday time in the UK - so I will add my wishes to Barrie's and say many thanks to the whole team, all of whom have been named by Ian and Julia - thank you all!

                Well I am surprised and a little disappointed more members didn't add a comment here or on another thread.

                I know my singing was rather flat - but really!!

                  Oh Please don't be disapointed, it's the thoughtfullness of you guys and fun and laughter that you bring to this site, along with all the efforts you put in to comments, replys and posts, that have gone towards making this such a successful first year.

                  I for one really appreciate your efforts and while it's a bit slow in coming, I thank you and everyone else that has contributed to the success of the forum, and send best wishes to all for future success
