Re: Walk south of Westerham
I particularly like the lake shot Huw....seems as if you are enjoying your 40-150 2.8 as am I. When the new pro lens is released we could all end up with just 3 lenses !! I have considered looking for a 12-40 as I have the 45 and 17 plus the 9-18....keep up the good work..
Cheers
Peter

Re: Walk south of Westerham
Thanks Peter, yes definitely using the 40-150 when the opportunity arises. I can see it being a great event lens particularly with the MC-14.Originally posted by Rocknroll59 View PostI particularly like the lake shot Huw....seems as if you are enjoying your 40-150 2.8 as am I. I also have the 17, 45 and 7.5 Samyang but I tend to use these pretty much exclusively with my E-M5 if I'm travelling very light
Thanks OMOriginally posted by OM USer View PostI know the area quite well. Nice shots.

Re: Walk south of Westerham
Thanks for the map Huw, almost 9mi, That's quite a walk - nowadays mileage like that is a feat on my bicycle! The Chartwell house lake looks almost drinkable, but maybe only for ducks. I'm afraid the 40'C heat here today makes me drool at the sight of water.
I'm now lost when it comes to lenses so I can't comment on the merits of the 40-150 f/2.8 and the 12-40 f/2.8. The closest I have to those are the F2.8 12-60mm and the F2.8 50-200mm, the latter used mostly for birds on my wetlands post.

No problem Mark, I thought it might be of interest (the map)Originally posted by pandora View PostThanks for the map Huw, almost 9mi, That's quite a walk - nowadays mileage like that is a feat on my bicycle! The walk was listed as only around 6 miles on the Walking World web site but other walkers had commented that it was actually a fair bit longer, so that with it ending up being nearly nine miles wasn't a complete surprise (luckily).
There was a fair bit number of inclines too which makes you feel as if you have achieved something
The water in that lake was definitely only for ducks, though the reflected sky looked nice
Regarding lenses, your 12-60 and 50-200 are certainly in a similar vein of quality, typical excellent Oly zooms.Regards Huw
