  • OM-D E-M1 pricing and offers (UK)

    Body £1299

    12-50 kit £1499.99

    12-40 kit £1949.99

12-40 by itself £899 (not confirmed but about right)

HLD-7 grip £199? (not confirmed - but about right)

You can claim a free MMF-3 Micro Four Thirds lens adapter when you buy an E-M1 until the end of November. You need to have registered an E-System Four Thirds camera (having a Four Thirds lens is not enough - you need a camera serial number).

You can also claim a free HLD-7 grip by the end of October with an E-M1 purchase.

I figure i'll want one sometime in the next 18 months, i may as well get one quick so i can enjoy it for longer before i then purchase it's replacement.

I just read some where, i forget where, that pre-registering before the october sales gets a free grip !?

Oosh, the new lens specs. An image of the 40-150 f2.8, and mention of a pro wide-angle zoom and a pro super telephoto prime in the pipeline.

What still is not clear to me is: do I need a converter to attach my Four Third lenses to it? Or is the converter needed for the Micro 4/3

Yes. You will need the MMF-3 adapter referred to in the OP.

It's a Micro Four Thirds camera so you need an adapter to fit Four Thirds lenses.

EDIT: Pete types faster than me!

Where can I find out about the lenses?

Ian, do we have to use the GRIP to get burst for Bif ?

or is just the little old battery good enough power ?

urmm what battery ? maybe the E-5 ones as they are long lasting and powerful ... and expensive £60 each

It uses the same battery as the E-M5 Chevvy.

WEX are bundling a battery grip for customers who pre order the OM-D E-M1. Olympus appear to be giving existing E system users a MMF-3 adapter as well.

Great price if bought together but how good is the new lens compared to my 12-60?
