Arrow Superiority of Olympus OM-D E-M5 sensor confirmed at DxOMark

Four Thirds User (Fourthirds-user.com) is a sibling site to the e-group.

DxOMark has rated the Sony imaging sensor in the new Olympus OM-D E-M5 and it's a spectacular improvement in previous sensors used by Olympus in E-System DSLRs and Micro Four Thirds Pens.

So it has taken them this long to tell us something we knew months ago.

It really is amazing that WE all new months ago that Olympus had brought on a bigie but having said that.....Olycon seems to be so much more appreciated by the average photographer, probably because both companies spend much more on advertising than does Olympus. As it is, the new camera body and accessories are in such greater demand that the dealers are not able to stock everything and that is the sad part about Marketing and Merchandising..both go hand in hand and somehow this fell off of the cliff this time round but I am sure it will be eventually corrected to our satisfaction.

Maybe Olympus asked them to delay publication while they cleared out as many Panasonic sensored models as possible.

That is quite possible but if one scans this web site based in England the Olympus brand is very popular over there and it is quite obvious that the new OM D line is really catching on in the rest of the world albeit in short supply.

What part of Toronto do you live in?

DxO have been catching flak for months for withholding their findings, nobody knew why.

I am told that they decided to re-check their results because of the big difference in performance.
