  • In the Engine Room.

Well the Plant Room actually and it's more like a dark broom cupboard as it is also used as a stock room with tall storage racks.
Our new Visitor Centre has an Air Heat Pump heating system and all the "gubbins" for it is in the Plant Room. An excellent location to show the performance of the OMD's new "low noise"/ high dynamic range sensor teamed with the lovely 45mm f1.8 lens.

Lots of shiny "aloominum" insulation to try and give you blown highlights. ISO 6,400.

This is a darker corner with part of the additional Solar water heating system which provides the hot water on sunny days. ISO 10,000.

The brush and dustpan are used to sweep up any heat that escapes so it can be recycled. ISO10,000

The main control unit and pipes in which water flows up AND down. ISO 5,000. A brighter part of the room.

There's vertical pipes. ISO 2,000. The really bright part.

    And horizontal pipes. ISO 16,000.

And finally THE REALLY DARK CORNER with the pumps for the solar heating system. ISO 25,600.

If you've got this far thanks for looking.

    Regards.
    Peter

Impressive high ISO performance there. Micro 4/3 is looking very attractive.

It says something when you lock yourself in a dark cupboard and still the E-M5 performs faultlessly. OK, ISO 25600 is a tad rough in the shadows but hey, that's a phrase I never expected to be writing with regard to an Olympus camera.

          Hehe.
"ISO 25,600 is a tad rough in the shadows" I think Olympus could use that in their advertising. I've added it to my signature.

For my next project I'm going to try the elusive "Black Cat in a coal shed" shot.
