  • By Jupiter!

Took a few pictures in the garden this evening, using my E-3 plus Jupiter 11a lens (135mm f4 M42 mount) plus cheapo extention tubes. S l o w shutter speeds (even at ISO 800) and a persistent breeze tried my patience!

Due to new developments this evening I willl be selling this lens in a separate thread, once I have taken some pictures of it tomorrow (later today, actually).

Looks very sharp there, John and beautiful flora to boot.

Thanks Mark, the honeysuckle is about the only thing of interest growing in our garden.

Particularly like the first one, little webs and translucent leaf. How vexing a slight breeze can be!, waiting for a calm that never quite arrives.

Mmm. Sharp looking lens, and lovely bokeh too. Taken wide open?

No. Stop it. I already have 90, 135 and 200mm legacy lenses

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

No, taken at about f11 (thank goodness for live view). Bokeh is no doubt helped by the 12 aperture blades this lens has.

Verrrrry nice John. Surprising what can be done with old stuff.

Does it have an integral hood like my CZJ?

I have nearly bought 1 of these lenses a few times this month. But i have a CZ and an OM 135 3.5 already. Also i have a 135mm f4 with just Jena writen on it, if anyone has any idea what this one is let me know.... If the price is right i may be tempted to have a go at this one. P.S don't tell my other half, she thinks i have enough legacy glass......

Did you resort to flash in the end, John? They look a bit like they were flashed

It has a metal screw-fitting hood.

Here it is on my E-3

No flash Ian, just quite dull natural light, but I may have blown the highlights a tad.
