I saw a mention in a recent thread here that referred to the transferability of Olympus warrantys. The belief, based on a previous communication with Olympus UK, was that warranties can't be transferred. So I queried this with Olympus UK as I wasn't sure the original information was correct. This is the reply:
So long the camera is still within the warranty period and a proof of purchase from the original retailer is provided, the warranty will be honoured.
We only refuse second hand cameras where someone is trying to use their e-bay receipt or similar as proof of warranty when they bought the camera second hand.
