Re: What Digital Camera event in Brighton
Is anyone planning to be at the WDC mag event in Brighton?

Re: What Digital Camera event in Brighton
Hmm, they are showing a brand new non announced lens? Not the 60mm macro or the 75mm biggie because they have already been announced.
Time to start some rumours:
150mm f2 pro grade?
25mm f0.95?
the 14-35 f2 for m4/3
Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

I'd have really liked to have been a part of this but no point in entering as I couldn't make the dates anyway

I understand the event is fully booked now. I will almost certainly be there on the Saturday - is anyone else from here going to be there?

Re: What Digital Camera event in Brighton
So the mystery lens that will be shown at the Brighton event is the new 75mm f/1.8 although it's only a pre-production sample so users will be told they can't publish any pictures taken with it!Originally posted by snaarman View PostHmm, they are showing a brand new non announced lens? On my way to Brighton by train this bright sunny morning :-)
Have got the Pen Pal Bluetooth adapter with me and will post some photos using this via my smartphone during the day.

Why are none of these events ever held oop North?
Do they forget that there are photographers north of the Watford Gap?

Re: What Digital Camera event in Brighton
Am back home now after a very long day. Looking at my shots transferred from the E-M5 via Pen Pal Bluetooth adapter to my smartphone and then resized and uploaded, over Mobile Data to the gallery, the sharpness is not really there. I'll re-do them from RAW files tomorrow using Lightroom.
Had more time using the 75mm f/1.8 but I still can't show you any shots because Olympus has asked me not to until I get a production sample in a couple of weeks.

Re: What Digital Camera event in Brighton
They are fairly close (on my uncalibrated laptop) but I can see more contrast in the first one.
I would expect to only ever use wireless to provide thumbnail (iPad res) images for people to view in the same way we used to show "Proofs".
It's interesting how wireless connectivity has rapidly gained favour. I can't help but feel that the "marketing men" are pushing it hard.
